I keep getting errors about my country when attempting to install the android app from google play. I'm in Australia. I've changed all my google wallet settings to make sure it says Australia but still not allowing me. Why are you being so picky? Just let me install it. All the other Optus apps install fine.

Hmm. Certainly very strange behaviour. Have you ever had any problems downloading any other Apps? Not just from Optus? I think you may need to change your address within Google Wallet or Payments. This will change the country that the App store uses. More info here.

Well I finally got it working.
I followed the instructions, with no luck initially, however I did a few more things, one of which must've worked:
- I bought a 20cent app in $AUD and using linked Au credit card. (still didn't work)
- I removed and deleted all old foreign addresses, even if they weren't the default shipping address (still didn't work)
- I removed and deleted all foreign credit cards, even if they weren't the default payment method(still didn't work)
- So now everything in google was 100% aussie(still didn't work)
- clear cache and data from Google play store
- 'Force stop'
- Open google play store again
- Worked
Note that the app was filtered from searches, but I had it in my wishlist to find it.

My recommendation to Optus would be to remove the region checking in google play and instead perform location checking inside the app. You'll lose business. As an example, most foreign students love EPL however keep using their home region in google play so they can use apps in their own language. @Leten1989, can you confirm if you have an Australian address in your Google Play settings? If not, to edit this just sign into Settings. In the home address section click edit and then enter your new address and click save. You can also update your home country however won't be able to if you have a merchant account set up.

I went into my google play settings and made sure they were all australia and current address. deleted any old cards that were stored. deleted all data and cache and force stop. restarted phone. still doesnt let me download the app.

I got this phone back from insurance when i sent in my damaged one. and ive been using 4g
